Interesting how TIGHT the retail prices are on Saints

http://www.pcgs.com/prices/frame.cht...gaudens_twenty

From common dates a $850 on EF JUST to $915 on MS62. :no_ma:

They are looking more like MONEY than NUMISMATICS - a TAD. :shocked_ma:

I Always like to follow the changes to see how the dots connect. :tongue_ma:

They are starting to be grabbed by many as MONEY -

$1000 bills so-to-say, or $2000 bills later.

the MS65s will soon be $2000 to $4000: certified for the masses.

at $850 retail the EFs are rather out-of-reach to Joe and Sally 6-pak - but the well-off are starting to see the light - with 14% new paper money inflation each year.

The SPRING (PPT) on gold is about to really LET-GO.

spelled out - IMVHO

best wishes,

HS

Saints and Liberty heads were never in Joe and Sally beginner investor's attache anyway. .96 isn't an easy fraction/decimal. They stick to 1/10 ounce Eagles that go for $35 or more over spot.

I'll stick to sovereigns and 20 franc pieces thank you very much.

Each to their own. If I lived in England or France - I'd be with your favorites.

However - in "America" it's Saints NUMISMATIC & Gold-Eagles BULLION.

I am in America. For the gold eagles in Joe and Sally's price range, the mark-up percent over spot is higher than % over spot for a Saint Gaudens. (My local coin dealer sells 1/10 eagles for $110 and 1/4 for over $200 and in some cases approaching 300).

MS 69 NGC & PCGS gold eagles held up really well over the last month or so,

I bought 10 NGC 1oz Ms69's in the $675-700 area, and prices(Ebay) Stayed well within, and even on the higher end of that range(Even as gold dipped down into the $640's.

I think Graded bullion bought as close to spot as you can, will be the most liquid and trusted when prices get up there.

Just my opinion.
